Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and a celebratory start to 2019. We spent a lot of quality family time around the fire with all three of my boys home. My wife and I found time to “just be” as they say, and enjoy the season.
And now, we’re back at it. In a few short weeks I’ll be in Palm Beach for the opening of the Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse. We’ve been hard at work making the grand staircase spectacular. We’re honored to have been assigned this beautiful space. Read more about it here. We are having a ball pushing the creative limits and working around the clock to make this space sparkle.

You can see we’re starting with a blank canvas. The staircase is more than just utilitarian in this home, it’s how we set the stage for the home at large, and help guide guests on their journey from one room to another.
What I love about working on Show Houses is seeing what vision all the other designers have come up with for the project. We all look at the home through our own lens, and watching each piece fall into place is fascinating to me.
I’ll be spending a lot of time in Palm Beach with our Design Manager, Kyle Johnson. She and I have worked closely on our plans and are gearing up for a great time.
